Rail loading and unloading 

Specialized configurations to handle aggregates, sand, ores, coal and a variety of other materials. WEC have innovative designs for roll-over discharge pits, including conventional Deep Pit Design to accommodate a full rail wagon load of material below the rail level; Shallow Pit Design with 30 tonnes of material below the rail level, providing a considerable saving on foundation costs; and Ultra Shallow Pit with horizontal conveyor recovery, to maintain depth requirement for the foundations to barely 2 metres

Hard Rock Washing & Scrubbing

WEC have proven designs for washing primary crushed material and scalping with infeed sizes to 250mm, reducing wastage to a minimum and increasing saleable material and production profit.

In cases when a scrubber barrel or log-washer will not work due to the lack of coarse material necessary for attrition, cavitational scrubbing is employed, to dislodge clays and mud adhering to the surface of the sand or fine aggregate.

Climafuel

Alternative fuels, often manufactured from processed domestic refuse, (‘Climafuel’) give considerable reductions in fuel costs. WEC are experienced in engineering and installing Climafuel systems with the associated specialist materials handling equipment needed for difficult and hazardous materials
